7th Ward Neighborhood Center’s Hurricane Katrina Memorial Day of Service

The brothers got up early this morning to commemorate the 6th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. We all engaged  in re-committing to the rehabilitation of the Historic 7th Ward community, which is still struggling with its post-Katrina recovery. We aided three homeowners in the 7th Ward community with light rehabilitation projects such as painting, scraping and caulking.

The 7th Ward Neighborhood Center, founded in 2008, is a non-profit organization which exists to improve quality of life conditions in New Orleans’ Historic 7th Ward community. Specifically, the center focuses on social, health, economic and environmental issues in the area in order to positively impact human and social development.
