7th Ward Neighborhood Center’s Hurricane Katrina Memorial Day of Service

The brothers got up early this morning to commemorate the 6^th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. We all engaged  in re-committing to the rehabilitation of the Historic 7^th Ward community, which is still struggling with its post-Katrina recovery. We aided three homeowners in the 7^th Ward community with light rehabilitation projects such as painting, scraping and caulking. 

The 7^th Ward Neighborhood Center, founded in 2008, is a non-profit organization which exists to improve quality of life conditions in New Orleans’ Historic 7^th Ward community. Specifically, the center focuses on social, health, economic and environmental issues in the area in order to positively impact human and social development.
